Daily stats for the province - 134 new infections, 1 more death

https://www.lavozdealmeria.com/noticia/12/almeria/199922/el-coronavirus-deja-una-nueva-muerte-en-almeria-y-134-contagios-mas

The coronavirus leaves a new death in Almería and 134 more infections

A nonageneria from the capital dies from the virus, which adds 3 hospitalized

For the second consecutive day, the daily infections of coronavirus fall, although the figure continues to be above one hundred and the virus continues to leave deaths. This is clear from the data (up to seven in the morning) published by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography, which places 134 positives by PCR detected in the last 24 hours.

Of these 134 cases, almost 60% are located in the Poniente Health District, which has 79 positives. In the Almería Health District, which includes both the capital and the metropolitan area, 35 more people have been infected. The remaining 20 belong to towns in the Levante-Alto Almanzora Health District.

A deceased woman

However, the coronavirus continues to cause deaths: the one registered this Thursday is located in the capital, which has already lost 22 neighbors since the beginning of the pandemic. This time it was a woman between 90 and 94 years old.

As reported by the Junta de Andalucía in its daily report, there has been one death more associated with the outbreak that was detected on August 13 in the El Zapillo residence for the elderly (there are already eight deaths), so it may be this same case.

Hospitalizations

Covid-19 gives a slight respite in terms of those hospitalized: today there are 3 more compared to the previous day and none of them in ICU. At the moment, 107 people are suffering from the virus in hospitals in Almería; of them, 19 are admitted to the ICU.

As for those recovered, this Thursday there are 23 people who have received the high epidemic in the province.

More than a thousand cases in Andalusia

The autonomous community registers the highest number of infected in a day since March: 1,038 in the last 24 hours. Malaga is once again the province that has the most PCR positives in the same day: 410, almost 40% of the total.

Almería follows, although in this case it is even with Cádiz, where there have also been 134 cases. Somewhat behind is Seville, with 125. With 75 is Granada, with 75 Córdoba and with 70 Jaén.

In the total of the community, this Thursday leaves 57 more hospitalizations, 6 of them in ICU, 3 deceased, including the neighbor of Almería, and 104 recovered people.

The data included in this news is extracted from the daily report published by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography through the Andalusian Regional Government's Health and Family Department.

The Almería 360 cases per municipality - totals and 7 day figures (14 day not available)

 https://almeria360.com/actualidad/03092020_municipios-de-almeria_203998.html

As usual, see the table in the article. I have had a discussion with the people running the site about including both 7 and 14 day data as well as the totals. They said that at the moment they can only display 2 columns of data. So they have decided to replace the 14 day figures with the totals. They said they would have an attempt at including all 3 figures (total, 7 day and 14 day) tomorrow. Although they are not sure whether they will be able to. I guess we will have to wait and see.

The data and chart based on the history of the Almería 360 sourced Monday-Friday stories

AlmeriaCoronavirusStats3Sep2020

Note that there are a few recent data points missing from the chart. I am waiting to see what data Almería 360 publish tomorrow. I will then change the format of the chart as necessary. Either removing the 14 day line on the chart as this data will not be published any more by Almería 360. Or continue with the same format chart if they publish both 7 day and 14 figures again from now on. Either way I will create estimates for any small number of missing data points for El Ejido. So that the chart looks cleaner.Without any missing data for El Ejido for the first 2 days of September.

The coronavirus leaves 3 deaths, 17 hospitalized and 162 more cases in Almería

One of the deceased is from the residence of El Zapillo, where the virus has already left 7 deaths

The coronavirus does not give truce in Almería at the beginning of September. The figure of 233 cases registered on Tuesday is somewhat lower today, 162 new PCR positives, but Covid-19 continues to leave a trail of hospitalizations and deaths. According to data from the Andalusian Regional Government Health and Family Council, in the last 24 hours 3 people have died in our province and 17 have been admitted to hospital centers, 3 of them in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). On the side of the recovered, 44 people have received the epidemiological discharge.

One of the three deaths, the Board details, belongs to the outbreak of the El Zapillo nursing home in the capital, for which there are already 7 deaths in three weeks since the outbreak was declared on August 13. Regarding this focus, there have been 112 positive cases so far, of which 73 are residents and 39 are workers.

Regarding the outbreak in the residence of El Manantial de Terque, there have been no changes compared to yesterday.

Following the usual trend of recent weeks, Almería is once again the second Andalusian province with the most cases in a single day, only behind Malaga, where 326 PCR positives have been reported. Then follow Seville (119), Córdoba (87), Granada (73), Cádiz (71), Jaén (31) and Huelva (15).

More than 5,000 cases detected by PCR

After the data of this Wednesday, Almería exceeds the figure of 5,000 PCR positives since the beginning of the pandemic: specifically, 5,013 cases are detected through this test, 5,291 counting the serological tests.

As for the hospitalized, 573 people have passed through Almeria hospitals during these months because of Covid-19, and 84 of them have been referred to Intensive Care. At the moment, 114 remain hospitalized due to this infection, only behind Malaga, where there are 147. 21 patients are still in the ICU, the highest number in Andalusia, since Malaga has 19.

In the rest of the community, this is the still photo that leaves the day looking at Andalusian hospitals: in Cádiz there are 72 hospitalizations, of which 13 in ICU; in Córdoba, 56, of which 3 in ICU; in Granada there are 55 hospitalized, of which 2 are in ICU; in Huelva there are only 4 and none in the ICU; Jaén has 21 admitted patients, of which 4 are in the ICU; Malaga has 47 hospitalizations, of which 19 in ICU, and in Seville there are 53 hospitalized people, of which 8 in ICU.

LATE UPDATE (on 03/09/2020) - cases stats by municipality

https://almeria360.com/actualidad/02092020_listado-de-municipios_203926.html

As usual, see the table in the article.

Note that on 1 September Almería 360 added total number of cases to the table as new information (a good improvement).. However they then only reported the 14 totals (not 7 day totals).

Then on 2 September they provided total number of cases again. However they then only reported the 7 totals (not 14 day totals).

Hence the chart looking a little funny today (with a couple of zero scores for cases. Please just ignore them.

Almería exceeds 200 cases of coronavirus in a record day with 4 deaths

The province has seen 233 positives detected by PCR this Tuesday

The 'definitive' record has reached Almería this Tuesday, when the province has exceeded the barrier of 200 positives by adding 233 in just 24 hours, long, the highest figure of those reported so far, 'title' that Until today it corresponded to last Saturday, when the province added 190 positives. But today there have been more than 200 cases that have been reported in a single day in which four more patients have died, which leaves the total at 78.

This has been known a few minutes ago in the report of the Ministry of Health and Families published in the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia and that leaves a dramatic reality in the province, where the district of Almería capital has been the one that has added the The vast majority of the new positives, with 139 of the 233 detected (234 if one diagnosed by rapid test is counted), with special prominence for the capital, which has reported 103 positives in the last few hours in one fell swoop. For its part, Níjar has added 28 of these 139; three have been reported in Alhama de Almería; two in Gádor, and one in Benahadux, Fiñana, Beires and Huércal de Almería. In this sense, it should be noted that the sum offers a total of 140, but Health has withdrawn one of the positives detected in the El Manantial de Terque nursing home.

Poniente

The next health district with the most cases was Poniente this Tuesday, when 67 new positives were added to a region that has seen how, after joining Enix, all its municipalities have cases. Of these, 25 have been detected in Roquetas de Mar, 23 in El Ejido, eight in Vícar and Adra, and three in the municipality of La Mojonera. Likewise, the Levante-Alto Almanzora has added today only 11 positives, which have occurred in the municipalities of Cuevas del Almanzora, five; three in Vera, two in Huércal-Overa and one in both Mojácar and Pulpí.

In addition, one has been notified in the municipality of Arboleas, the first resident of the town to lose his life due to covid-19 and the other has occurred among people who are not registered in Almería and who, in addition, have added today 16 new positives in the last 24 hours.

More restrictions proposed in Andalucía - beaches and weddings

More restrictions in Andalusia: the Junta reduces beach hours and weddings

Andalusia proposes to close beaches from 9:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. due to Covid-19

The Andalusian Governing Council has agreed on Tuesday a series of measures to stop the expansion in the autonomous community of the coronavirus that causes the Covid-19 disease, including a reduction in the maximum capacity for weddings and similar events, as well as that the open bar is not held, and that the municipalities of coastal municipalities close the beaches to the public between 9:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

This has been advanced by the Minister of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior and spokesman for the Andalusian Government, Elías Bendodo, at the press conference after the Council meeting, in which he appeared alongside the head of Health and Families, Jesús Aguirre .

Bendodo explained that these new measures are taken after the last self-assessment of the coronavirus situation in Andalusia carried out so far by the medical technical committee that advises the Board and that met last week, and in order that "the pandemic evolve in Andalusia better than in the rest of Spain ", as, as he has defended, is happening so far.

Situation of "control"

Along these lines, the spokesman counselor wanted to emphasize that "the situation in Andalusia remains within the margins of control", and although cases are increasing, the community is "well below the Spanish average" in terms of the incidence of the virus it means.

In this sense, he highlighted that, to date, in Andalusia there are 102 PCR-confirmed positives per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, almost half that in Spain, where the figure of 205 is reached, and although "they have increased hospitalizations, 81% of hospital beds have been freed compared to the peak of the pandemic. "

Wedding

Regarding the new measures agreed, the counselor of the Presidency has advanced that in the celebration of weddings "or similar" the maximum number of people attending when they are celebrated in outdoor spaces will be reduced from 300 to 150, and from 250 to 100 when in closed spaces. In addition, in these celebrations it will not be possible to have an open bar and "everyone will have to be seated at tables of up to ten people maximum", as well as they will have to finish at 1:00 am at the latest.

Likewise, the Board has agreed that, from now on, for events that gather more than 200 people in closed spaces, or 300 outdoors, "a risk assessment will be needed from now on. of the health authority ", as indicated by Bendodo, who has clarified that this measure affects" cinemas, theaters, festivals, congresses or sporting events ", whose end time may not exceed 1.00 in the morning.

To all this we must also add that "it has been agreed to urge the coastal town councils to take measures to close the beaches between 9:30 pm and 7:00 am," as announced by Bendodo.

Coronavirus Almería: there are 100 hospitalized on a Monday with one death and 87 cases

The number of patients in the ICU is now 20 and 43 have recovered in the last hours

August says goodbye to Almería with a new blow to the coronavirus pandemic, which, despite leaving today a number of positives detected in 24 hours below a hundred, has already seen 100 coronavirus patients who have needed be hospitalized, two more this Monday in which the number of covid-19 patients who are in the ICU has also increased and there are now 20.

This is reflected this Monday in the daily part of the Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía, which presents 87 new positives in Almería detected by PCR after a weekend that left a new record on Saturday, with 190 positives and on Sunday these fell to 83 cases. But the number of positives and patients admitted to hospitals is not the only figure that the province has seen increase today, which today has added one more deceased and there are already 74 coronavirus patients who have lost their lives since March.

The data that draws the most attention, without a doubt, is that the province already has three figures in its hospitalized scoreboard, after adding two new ones in the last 24 hours, and it is the only time that this has happened since the beginning of the pandemic. With these data and the 20 admitted who are in serious condition in the ICU, the hospital pressure in Andalusia is as follows by provinces: By provinces: Cádiz (55 hospitalizations, of which 13 in ICU), Córdoba (51 hospitalizations , of which 3 in ICU), Granada (42 hospitalizations, of which 3 in ICU), Huelva (4 hospitalizations, of which 1 in ICU), Jaén (18 hospitalizations, of which 4 in ICU), Malaga ( 139 hospitalizations, of which 17 in the ICU) and Seville (39 hospitalizations, of which 8 in the ICU).

With today's data, which are added to those harvested so far in August, when more than 70% of all the positives detected in the province have been diagnosed, Almería remains the second province with the most PCR positives among its inhabitants with 4,618 in total, of which today, as reported by Health, 43 have recovered, which leaves the global of these at 1,603.

Finally, both in the outbreak declared in the El Zapillo residence in Almería and in the El Manantial de Terque residence, there have been no changes compared to the previous day.

Story from last night about recent deaths due to coronavirus

https://www.lavozdealmeria.com/noticia/12/almeria/199469/almeria-registra-15-muertes-en-17-dias-y-sigue-sumando-casos-graves-de-covid-19

Google translation:

Almería registers 15 deaths in 17 days and continues to add serious cases of Covid-19

The province continues to concentrate the majority of hospitalized patients in the autonomous community

Two new deaths, 23 hospitalized and three admissions to intensive care units are the most worrying data this Tuesday in Almería, which seems to have been immersed for many days in that second wave of the coronavirus pandemic that it is already talking about openly the Minister of Health of the Junta de Andalucía, Jesús Aguirre.

And Almería in this case continues to be the province with the worst data and with the worst diagnosis, not only because of the unstoppable increase in infections - 125 more were added yesterday - which also, but above all because in parallel serious cases are increasing, such as it reflects the daily portion of the Counseling, and the worst possible outcomes, which is loss of life.

Not in vain, the province has added 15 deaths in just two and a half weeks, since last August 9. This represents more than a fifth of the 68 deaths caused by the coronavirus since the start of the health crisis that began last March.

And the fatalities are once again the elderly, as they were this Tuesday, with the two registered in Almería and Roquetas de Mar, in both cases men over 65 years of age. These data detract from the fact that most of the new infections are young people, under 35 years of age and asymptomatic, and the reality that they are confirmed more positive by the considerable increase in tests. This is true, but it is no less true that in addition to this rise in the number of infections that also implies the multiplication of tests, the advance of the virus in Almería also translates, and well above other Andalusian provinces, in the increase of patients in a worse situation and, ultimately, of the deceased.

5 deaths in 7 days

In the last seven days, for example, five of the 11 Andalusian victims have died in Almería, and the province currently has more than a quarter of those hospitalized in the region (80 out of 308) and close to half of the admitted to the ICU (14 of 36).

The return of the virus to residences is another of the serious consequences of the spread of the virus, as shown by the three deaths in the El Zapillo center for the elderly, where in the last day there have been another six positive cases among residents and five among workers, according to the official report. In total, 62 users have already been affected by the virus and 31 staff members.

More infections

And also the increase in cases is significant in Almería in relation to Andalusia. In the last seven days, 772 new positive cases have been confirmed in the province and 1,679 in two weeks. In this time, only Malaga has confirmed more infections (892 in seven days and 1,946 in 14), although in the last week it has had fewer hospitalized patients (42 compared to 52 in Almería) and fewer deaths (3).

In this way, the increase in infections has been exponential in the province, which has gone from 2,000 to more than 4,000 today (4,130) in just two weeks, and is already very close in total cases in Granada (4,618) and Seville (4,626), which until very recently had many more people infected.

As of today, in addition, the province already exceeds 2,563 active cases, very far from the 11 it had at the end of June, when the virus had disappeared from hospitals and intensive care units.

Fourth consecutive day with a fatality in Almería as a result of the virus

Almería registers for the fourth consecutive day a death as a result of Covid-19, which adds 124 new cases detected through PCR tests. There are also 4 more hospital admissions compared to yesterday, one of them in the ICU, and only two people recovered.

The deceased is a man from Roquetas de Mar with an age between 45 and 64 years, according to the daily update of the data (until seven in the morning) provided by the Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía.

In the whole of Andalusia, the community has registered 846 more cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, the highest number since the beginning of the pandemic. Malaga is in the lead with 321 cases detected this day, followed by Almería, which is already the third Andalusian province with the most positives detected through PCR tests.

More than half of the cases, in the West

Of the 124 PCR positives, more than half have been registered in the Poniente Health District, where 65 of the cases have occurred.

Rosalía Espinosa, Andalusian MP for the PP in Almería, admitted yesterday that this area is the one that most worries the Andalusian Government in the province, and that therefore around 500 PCR tests are being carried out there every day.

The Almería Health District sees an increase in the total number of cases diagnosed by CRP by 41, while that of Levante-Alto Almanzora adds 16.

Likewise, there are 2 more cases in municipalities of the province without determining.

Thus, there are currently 2,683 active cases of coronavirus in the total of the province of Almería. We must add two new cured, both in Roquetas de Mar, until reaching 1,501 who have overcome the disease since the beginning of the pandemic, while the new death, also located in Roquetas, places the death toll at 69.

An admission to ICU

Regarding income, the figure grows by 4 people compared to Tuesday's day, when there were 23 new patients. There are, therefore, 480 people who have had to go through hospitals in the province as a result of the Wuhan virus.

There is also a new admission to the Intensive Care Unit, which leaves a total of 72 patients who have undergone an ICU up to now during their illness.

Coronavirus in Almería: 17 towns have added the 125 positives this Tuesday

El Ejido and the capital are once again the most positive municipalities and Poniente, the region

The upward trend of the epidemiological curve continues in the capital of Almería and in El Ejido this Tuesday, when the two cities have once again registered the largest increases in new positives detected as well as this weekend, when they were more than 450 positives in more than a dozen towns.

The figures by municipalities published daily by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography, except on Saturdays and Sundays, also show that the Poniente region continues to be the most affected of the three health districts in the province, with more of the 50% of the cases that have been reported this Tuesday in Almería, which in gross numbers means that the municipalities of the West have registered 71 of the 125 infected this Tuesday, several dozen less than the day before, when the virus left more than 170 new cases by PCR, which left the total over 4,000 positives

In this region is the municipality of El Ejido, with 32 positive PCR tests, the one with the most cases this Tuesday, followed by Roquetas de Mar, which adds 25 and already exceeds 700. Below are Vícar (183 in total) and La Mojonera (139), with eight and four new cases in 24 hours, respectively, and Dalías (29) and Adra (52), both municipalities with a single new contagion.

For its part, the health district of Almería capital has added 35 infections to the 1,299 it presented this Monday, with protagonism, again, of the capital, which has added 28 of these 35 positives. Carboneras and Níjar have added two each and now have 16 and 294, respectively; and with only one positive reported today are Abrucena (3), Huércal de Almería (63) and Alhama de Almería (six).

The Levante-Alto Almanzora leaves the lowest number of new infections and distributes its 19 positives this Tuesday among the municipalities of Cuevas del Almanzora, which has added four and already has 35; Huércal-Overa, whose aggregate is 67 after adding three new infections today; one in Pulpí, which brings the total to 60; Los Gallardos have added, for their part, their second positive; and, finally, Vera, which is the town of the Levant with the most cases detected in the last 24 hours by notifying a dozen more and thus exceeding a hundred, since it has 102.

Deceased

Finally, the deceased today have been located in Almería capital, which has to its credit a total of 17 deaths from covid-19, and in Roquetas de Mar, which has 16 since the beginning of the pandemic. If we look at the data from the Andalusian Institute of Statistics, the two deaths were two men, one of them between 65 and 69 years old, and the other between 90 and 94 years old.

60% of cases in Almería have been detected in the first 3 weeks of August 2020

https://www.lavozdealmeria.com/noticia/12/almeria/199327/coronavirus-en-almeria-agosto-acumula-el-60-de-todos-los-positivos-detectados

Google translation:

Coronavirus in Almería: August accumulates 60% of all positives detected

Until Friday there were 1939 positives in August compared to just over 1,600 since March

The numbers of positives that the coronavirus leaves this August in the province of Almería, which maintains more than 2,000 active cases, cause fear when verifying how the rise in the epidemiological curve is not contained, but has been experienced throughout the In recent days, a 'rush' has made Almería register 300 more cases so far this month than all those detected since March and until July 31.

Throughout the first 20 days of August, according to the data that the Ministry of Health of the Junta de Andalucía dumps on the portal of the Andalusian Institute of Statistics, the number of infected in Almeria has shot up to 1,939 positives in total by PCR test. A figure that, as it is not updated during weekends, does not contain the data recorded neither last Friday nor yesterday, Saturday, so that the total of positives detected in August would already be well above 2,000, with 164 reported on Saturday and 123 on Friday, which leaves a total of 2,229 positives so far in August.

The nearly 2,000 'official' positives for August are in stark contrast to those of the previous month. Thus, in the month of July, which began to make it clear that something was happening with the numbers of positives in the province of Almería, the PCR positives were 790 in 31 days, that is, less than half of those in August. already in just 20 days.

In this way, the summer, if you look at the data, has been especially bad for the province of Almeria, which has gone from having only 289 positives in March to 315 in April, 177 in May; 37 in June and 790 in July. Thus, until July 31, the province did not add more than 1,608 positives compared to the 1,939 that it adds so far this month, that is, August adds more than 300 positives than those recorded by the province during the previous five months.

From the beginning

The report of the Andalusian Institute of Statistics states that the total number of positives in Almería is currently 3,274 by PCR until August 20. In this way, the 1,939 cases in August represent 60% of all the cases that have been detected since last February the first Covid-19 patient came to light in Almería, an Almeria resident who resided in Milan.

And it is that Almería is experiencing some particularly hard days during August in which numerous records of daily infections have been registered that have been happening one after another until practically reaching 200 positives in just 24 hours.

Stats for the province for the last 24 hours

The coronavirus in Almería grows again this Monday: 172 positives and another deceased

The province already has 66 deaths and 72 hospitalized patients, with 12 in the ICU

Another day of growth in the coronavirus curve in Almería, which this Monday has added 172 new positives for covid-19 detected through the PCR test in the last 24 hours, which leaves the province again as the one with the most positives sum of all Andalusia, since the second is Malaga, which has reported 129. Bad data that comes to add to this month of continuously increasing incidence of the virus, which has left 60% of all positives detected from the beginning.

With these almost 200 new positives from Almeria, the second worst daily figure after the more than 180 of last Monday, the province already stands with a total of 3,728 on the same day that it has added its deceased number 66 as a result of the covid-19 disease, which is added to a death from coronavirus registered this Sunday, the number 65 and the fifth of last week. In the entire autonomous community there have been two deaths when another patient from Cádiz lost his life.

Thus, the hospital pressure in the province of Almería is now with 72 patients admitted, four more than the day before, when there were 68, and the same that it presented last Saturday, August 22, with 12 in the Unit of Intensive Care, three less than those I had this Sunday.

For its part, in the rest of Andalusia, the hospital burden leaves Cádiz with 36 hospitalizations, of which eight in ICU; Córdoba, 24 and none in ICU; Granada, with 33 hospitalizations, of which three in ICU; Huelva, four hospitalizations and none in the ICU; Jaén, with 13 hospitalizations and 2 in the ICU; Malaga, which already surpasses Almería and adds 79 hospitalizations, of which 6 are in the ICU, and, finally, Seville, which maintains 29 hospitalized patients of which six are in the ICU. Andalusian hospitals registered 290 patients admitted for Covid-19 coronavirus this Monday, 23 more in 24 hours and 108 more than last Monday, of which 37 are in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), one more than Sunday.

Also, in the section of cured, which in the entire Andalusian autonomous community have been 22, Almería has not added any this Monday. Finally, it should be noted that with respect to the outbreak declared in the El Zapillo residence in Almería, no news has been registered, so it remains with 82 positives currently and three deaths.

The data has been extracted from the report of the Andalusian Regional Government Health and Family Council, published in the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography.

The Radar Covid app will be activated in Malaga and Almería from Monday, August 24

The mobile application for Covid-19 contact tracing developed by the Government, Radar Covid, will be operational in the provinces of Malaga and Almería from next August 24, as sources from the Ministry of Health and Families have confirmed to Europa Press .

The mayor of Malaga, Franciso de la Torre, has also pointed out on social networks that the Minister of Health, Jesús Aguirre, has informed him that this app will be operational from Monday for both provinces. "It is very important that at least 60% of the population install it on our smartphone. It will thus be very useful for everyone," he said on Twitter.

Aguirre pointed out last Thursday at a press conference after the third meeting of self-evaluation and monitoring of the measures of the Andalusian Government against Covid-19, which had asked the Ministry of Health that the autonomous community be a "preferred area" among the regions for the development of this mobile tracking application and that the provinces of Almería and Malaga could pilot this initiative.

The counselor explained that on Wednesday he transferred that request to Andalusia in a meeting with the Ministry of Health so that Andalusia was a "preferred area for the installation" of said app for tracking, and pointed out that the Board had suggested that they be Almería and Málaga, that They are also the provinces where the incidence of the coronavirus is currently higher than the Andalusian average.

By provinces, Malaga adds 143 more positives and Seville reaches 105. Almería is the third Andalusian province where Covid-19 has had the most impact in the final stretch of this week.

The Board has already shown its concern over the fact that a thousand complaints have been registered in Almería for breaches of the anti-Covid regulations in the last week. A province that, along with Malaga, will be the first where the Radar Covid app will be activated as of Monday, August 24.

Town to town

By health districts, Almería is the one that has registered the highest increase in cases this Thursday, with 55. El Poniente adds 31 new positives and 8 have been located in Levante Alto-Almanzora.

The situation in the Levante-Alto Almanzora District seems calmer, with only 8 more positives detected this day. In Cuevas del Almanzora, 3 of them have been collected, while 2 have been located in Vera. The remaining three cases have been diagnosed in Huércal-Overa, Pulpí and Lúcar.

Finally, the data provided by the Andalusian Regional Government's Health and Family Department collect 3 positives in unspecified municipalities in Almería, either because they are patients who are not registered in the province or because they lack Spanish documentation.

The Ministry of Health and Families has also reported that, currently, 234 patients confirmed with Covid-19 remain admitted to Andalusian hospitals, of which 35 are in the ICU.

In Almería, the number of hospitalizations reached 73 patients this Thursday, 15 of whom are in the ICU.

It is the second most prominent increase in Andalusia, only behind Malaga, with 183 positives, and well above the 70 in Córdoba, 69 in Seville, 57 in Granada, 55 in Cádiz, 14 in Jaén and 7 of Huelva.

And, again, the only death that is registered in the entire community is that of Almería. After the three deaths on Tuesday, in Roquetas de Mar and in El Ejido, it is now the capital where this death is recorded.

Data that do not invite optimism and that should call for responsibility, once it is known that in a week the anticovid police operation has made more than 700 complaints. We must not lose sight of the cases in children under 14 years of age, about 90 in the last seven days.

Since the beginning of the health crisis, there are already a total of 3,332 cases of coronavirus detected in Almería, 3,057 of them through PCR.

42 new cases in Almería capital

The Sanitary District of Almería presents 55 new cases this Wednesday, of which 42 are in the capital.

Almería is situated as well as the town where the virus has had the most impact on this day. It is also here where a new death has been registered. They are, therefore, four consecutive days since Sunday in which this sad figure grows, which already leaves 64 dead since the appearance of the Wuhan virus.

The Board has reported that the outbreak of the El Zapillo residence for the elderly continues to be active although "without news" while it will be necessary to follow the evolution of a possible positive in the surroundings of the Municipal Band of Almería, which is currently isolated.

After Almería capital is Níjar, with 6 new PCR positives, and Huércal de Almería, with 3. Abla, Bentarique, Pechina and Viator add up, respectively, one more case.

In the Poniente Health District there are 50 new cases that have been detected through the PCR, to which must be added another more known through serological test.

Compared to yesterday, El Ejido has 25 more positives and Roquetas 14 (13 by PCR). 5 cases have been detected in Adra, 4 in Vícar, two in La Mojonera and 1 in Dalías.

For its part, the Levante-Alto Almanzora Health District experiences a growth of 14 more cases this Tuesday.

4 of them have occurred in Albox and another 4 in Vera. Cuevas del Almanzora adds 2 more positives by PCR while the remaining 4 are distributed equally in the towns of Cantoria, Huércal-Overa, Antas and Mojácar.

Likewise, the report of the Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía collects 4 positives in unspecified municipalities of Almería, either because they are patients not registered in the province or because they lack Spanish documentation.

In hospitals

Hospital admissions in the province also continue to rise. Today there have been 13 more than yesterday, which brings the figure to 69 hospitalized. There have been no movements in the ICU, where 14 people continue, nor does the number of recovered patients change.

The patients who have arrived at hospitals in Almeria in the last 24 hours account for 31% of the total in Andalusia, which has added 42 new hospitalized patients.

The data included in this news item are extracted from the daily report published by the Andalusian Regional Government's Ministry of Health and Families based on individualized cases and are updated every day with those notified to the Ministry of Health.

The report includes 10 more hospital admissions, 1 in ICU, and 11 new discharges

The cases of coronavirus detected by PCR in one day in the province of Almería have fallen below one hundred (there have been 72 more cases compared to those reported yesterday) although the data published by the Junta de Andalucía includes three new deaths, all in the Poniente District, which brings to 63 the fatalities to whom the virus has been detected since the beginning of the pandemic.

In Andalusia as a whole, where there have been 431 more positives, there have been no more deaths than those registered in our province.

Regarding the number of hospitalized, 10 more patients add to the list and the ICUs add a new intern.

On the opposite side, 11 more people have managed to overcome the disease, which places the number of cured at 1,472.

In absolute data, there are 3,208 cases of coronavirus detected in the province of Almería since March, 2,934 of them through PCR.

Worry in the West

The Poniente Health District, where the coronavirus has done the most damage so far this month, is the one that is most affected after the report of this August 18, which collects data until seven in the morning. Of the 72 cases detected in the total of the province, 47 have appeared here, which is just over 65%.

26 of these positives have occurred in the town of El Ejido, where the Board's report records two deaths. The other deceased appears in Roquetas de Mar, where there have been 12 more cases compared to yesterday.

The remaining 9 positives appear in Dalías (4), Vícar (4) and La Mojonera (1).

The Levante-Alto Almanzora Health District contributes 14 more cases to the global count of the day.

4 of them have appeared in Vera, 3 in Albox, 2 in Turre and another 2 in Mojácar. The other three, according to data from the Junta de Andalucía, have been diagnosed in Cuevas del Almanzora, Antas and Garrucha.

For its part, the Almería Health District adds 8 more positives this day. Three of them are registered in the capital, which keeps active the outbreak detected in the El Zapillo residence for the elderly, which has left two dead to date, although the Board reports that "no news has been registered compared to yesterday." Three other positives have occurred in Nijar.

In Benahadux one more positive has been given and another has been detected through PCR test in Tabernas.

In addition, the report of the Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía registers 3 new positives in unspecified municipalities of Almeria, either because they are patients not registered in the province or because they lack Spanish documentation.

Hospital admissions and recovered

Regarding hospitalizations, Health and Families reports that, currently, there are 196 patients with Covid-19 who remain admitted in all Andalusian hospitals, of which 37 are in ICUs. They are 33 more than yesterday, and 6 more admissions to intensive care.

Of these 33 new hospitalized patients, 30% belong to Almería, whose centers have received 10 more patients as well as a new admission to the ICU. In total, there are already 407 people in Almería admitted since the beginning of the pandemic, and 63 who have gone through ICU.

As for those recovered, there have been 11 more people, to reach the total of 1,472 recovered since the outbreak of the health crisis.

The detail of the report provides that 7 of these new patients are in Almeria capital, 1 in Níjar, 1 in Huércal-Overa, 1 in Pulpí and 2 in unspecified municipalities. There is an adjustment with respect to Monday's data that remains a recovered in the town of El Ejido.

The data included in this news item are extracted from the daily report published by the Andalusian Regional Government's Ministry of Health and Families based on individualized cases and are updated every day with those notified to the Ministry of Health. This report does not indicate the age of the deceased or the previous pathologies they may have.

Increase in cases in youngsters

Coronavirus Almería: positives in children grow to 86 cases in 7 days

There are already 293 minors with Covid-19 since March, the majority from 0 to 4 years

The age group between 0 and 14 years old seemed less vulnerable to the coronavirus during the first months of the pandemic, but it is now one of those that keep Andalusian health authorities on alert, particularly in the province of Almería, where a Over the last seven days, if you count from this 'Black Tuesday', the figure has gone from being 179 cases to the current 293.

In percentages, this increase translates into that the 179 positives in children by PCR accounted for 8.85% on August 10 of the total of 2022 cases detected in the province and now they are 9.98% of the 2,934 positives. One more percentage point that returns to focus on minors and, above all, on going back to school next September, since they are the protagonists of it.

The data collected during the last seven days in Almería have been particularly damaging, with a total of 86 new cases of coronavirus among children under 14 years of age, the vast majority of them in the Poniente district, where, within a week, they have been 38 were diagnosed positive (163 since the beginning of the pandemic) compared to 35 in the health district of the capital (with a total of 96). The Levante, for its part, has been less affected in this age group and has added a dozen cases in seven days and 30 since last March, as reflected in the report of the Ministry of Health published in the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia.

Gender and age

Regarding the sex of the children in whom Covid-19 has been diagnosed using the PCR test, of the 293,151 they correspond to girls and 146 to boys, which maintains the trend that has occurred practically since the virus broke out . For its part, the opposite occurs in the autonomous community as a whole, since of the 833 cases detected in children under 14 years of age, more than half (424) have been in men and the rest in women (409).

It is equally striking that the highest number of infected occurs among children aged 0 to 4 years, who add up to 106 of the 293 positives in Almería, that is, more than 36% of the total, although this trend has changed in the last week and those from 10 to 14 years have been the ones that have added more cases, with 32 (91 from the beginning) compared to 31 from 0 to 4 years. For their part, children between 5 and 9 years old and among those who have been diagnosed 23 positive in the last seven days, 96 from the beginning.

If the situation of the province is compared with that of the other seven Andalusians, Almería comes out very badly, since its 293 practically double those that have occurred in the second province with the most positives among children under 14 years of age, Malaga, which Since the beginning of the pandemic, it has diagnosed 150 children with coronavirus, more than a third of these (59) in the last seven days. This is followed by the Andalusian capital, which has 92; Granada, 90; 59 have been detected in Cádiz; Córdoba is below fifty and has 49; Jaén, 42, and Huelva is once again the one with the lowest incidence with only eight cases in the already six months of the pandemic.

Coronavirus: Almería beats all its records and adds 186 new positives

Since last Friday, 421 positives have been detected and four people have died

On Monday, a new record in the coronavirus pandemic was presented in Almería, which has left in the province a total of 186 positives for Covid-19, in addition to the 76 detected on Sunday and the 159 on Saturday, the day that Almería broke its own record, which it has surpassed again today. This is collected by the latest data published by the Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía, which includes the cases of infections, deaths and cured registered since the last report, issued last Friday, August 14.

With 421 positives detected since last Friday, the province of Almería is close to 2,500 positives since the beginning of the pandemic and much of the blame for this has been the district of Almería capital, which has surpassed that of Poniente by counting up to 192 positive cases (although in the town-by-town count only 191 are collected) and two deaths, both in the capital of Almería, where the highest number of new infections have been reported, with 135.

The capital is followed by the municipality of Níjar, which with 39 infected diagnosed since last Friday, is well ahead of the rest of the municipalities in the district of the capital of Almería. So it is since Huércal de Almería has added seven new cases; three have occurred in Benahadux; two both Sorbas, who has added his first two positives for Covid-19, and in Tabernas; and one in Íllar, Gádor and Gérgal.

West

For its part, the second district that reports the most cases this Monday is Poniente, where the coronavirus has done the most damage so far in August, but this weekend has been somewhat less affected, if compared to the capital of Almeria, since the Poniente has 'only' had 166 positives, the vast majority of them, again, distributed between the two largest municipalities in the region, El Ejido, which has reported 79 positives (491 in total), and Roquetas de Mar, 50 (590). Also, to these are added two municipalities that had not known new cases for several weeks, such as Berja, who with one more already has 13, and Dalías, who has added two and has a total of 19.

Also in the Poniente region, Adra has reported nine more positives, 16 have occurred in La Mojonera and nine in the municipality of Vícar, which adds 136 positives since the beginning of the pandemic.

These data contrast with those registered in the Levante-Alto Almanzora district, where a total of 51 positives have been reported, the vast majority of them in Vera, which has added a total of 16 new infections since last Friday. This is followed by Mojácar, with seven and a total of 82; Huércal-Overa, with the same seven positives; five in Garrucha; four have occurred in both Pulpí and Antas, which has gone from having one to having five after this weekend; two in Turre and Tíjola and one in Albox, Cuevas del Almanzora, Líjar and Chirivel.

For its part, in the section of patients without registration in the province or who lack national documentation, this weekend there have been 12 new positives detected, going from 37 on Friday to 49 this Monday.

Deceased

As for the deceased, after three deaths from coronavirus were known this Sunday, including two residents of the El Zapillo Nursing Home, where one of the victims was a 96-year-old woman, as LA VOZ advanced, four have finally been notified deaths, two of them in the capital and that are related to the outbreak of the residence of El Zapillo and another two in the municipalities of El Ejido and Roquetas de Mar, leaving a total of 60 in the province, which before beginning of August and since May 30 it counted 53.

With this situation, which the subdelegate of the Government of Spain has described as "worrisome, but not alarming", Andalusia has ruled out confinement for the moment and from today the new measures to prevent contagions are applied.

Finally, as for the patients who have already overcome the disease this Monday there are 1,461, during the weekend there have been 118, which are geographically distributed as follows: one in the capital Almería, the only one in the Almería district; two in the Levante-Alto Almanzora, which have been located in Cuevas del Almanzora and Huércal-Overa; and three more in Adra, one in Berja, 50 in El Ejido, one in Felix, 26 in Roquetas de Mar, 10 in La Mojonera and 20 in Vícar, which leaves a total of 111 in this district. Again, as occurs in the data of infected in the district of the capital, the count of patients recovered municipality by municipality leaves 114 compared to 118 that are derived from the total data offered by Health.

Figures for last 24 hours for the province - increase in cases slows down - more people in hospital and more deaths

https://www.lavozdealmeria.com/noticia/12/almeria/198959/coronavirus-almeria-suma-tres-muertes-un-paciente-mas-en-uci-y-76-positivos

Coronavirus: Almería adds three deaths, one more patient in ICU and 76 positives

The drop in positives is offset by a new rise in hospitalized patients, which is 57

The coronavirus pandemic has insisted on not giving any respite to the province of Almería and this Sunday, when the daily positives for Covid-19 have fallen to 76, after a Saturday with a new record in Almería territory, they have been confirmed three new deaths in the province. Similarly, there has been a further considerable increase in hospitalizations, with three new patients admitted, one of them in the ICU.

This is reflected in the daily report of the Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía, which details that Almería has hit a pronounced drop in the ranking of daily cases in the autonomous community, since, for the first time in many days, it has It was the fourth with the fewest positives, with Malaga in the lead by adding 126 infected in the last 24 hours; Seville, which has added 99, and the 80 that have been detected today in Cádiz.

In total, today there have been 455 infected people detected in the entire autonomous community of Andalusia, where there have also been five deaths, three of them in Almería, which already adds up to 59, among which is the one advanced yesterday by LA VOZ, one A 96-year-old woman who is the first deceased from the El Zapillo outbreak, which, according to Health reports, today adds two new infections among workers, which leaves the total number of cases detected in the residential center at 69.

With the current situation, this Sunday the hospital pressure in Andalusian centers is as follows: in Almería (57 hospitalizations, of which 15 in ICU), Cádiz (19 hospitalizations, of which 6 in ICU), Córdoba (12 hospitalizations, of which 2 in ICU), Granada (17 hospitalizations, of which 2 in ICU), Huelva (4 hospitalizations, of which 1 in ICU), Jaén (10 hospitalizations and none in ICU), Malaga (38 hospitalizations, of 5 in ICU) and Seville (14 hospitalizations and 3 in ICU).

Likewise, it is worth noting the number of recovered patients, which this Sunday far exceeds that of those infected, since 111 patients who have already overcome the disease have been notified, which leaves the total since the beginning of the pandemic at 111.

Biggest number of cases in Andalucía in August in our medical district (Poniente)

https://www.lavozdealmeria.com/noticia/3/provincia/198951/el-poniente-la-comarca-de-andalucia-mas-danada-por-el-coronavirus-en-agosto

Google translation:

El Poniente, the region of Andalusia most damaged by the coronavirus in August

With 583 positives so far this month, only the Costa del Sol, in Malaga, is approaching, with 546

Almost 600 positives in 14 days and 283 in just seven. These are the figures that the coronavirus pandemic has left in the western health district of Almeria and that have made it the worst in Andalusia, since only the Costa del Sol, in the province of Malaga, has similar figures, with 546 positives in the last 14 days and 265 in the last week.

The situation in municipalities such as Roquetas de Mar, El Ejido, La Mojonera or Vícar, where during the last week dozens of new positives have been added every day, is alarming and has pilloried a region that has added 1,248 positives for coronavirus detected by PCR since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,315 if the rapid tests are added to these, according to the data of the last report of the Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía, dated last Friday, since during the end of week the shelled data is not updated.

With this global figure, it is possible to verify the scope of the pandemic in recent weeks, since the West has added in the last 14 days practically half of all patients with Covid-19, with 583 so far in August, specifically, 46.7% of the total of all those registered since last March 14. A situation that translates, as the socialist Rodrigo Sánchez Haro already denounced in an interview with LA VOZ, in the saturation of the Poniente Hospital and that leaves this region, as we have indicated, far above the rest of Andalusia and, also, of Almería.

Fired

Thus, the capital has added 199 positives during the last seven days (counting from last Friday, August 14) and the Levante 'only' 111, many of them associated with an outbreak detected in the nightlife of the region and of which The number of current positives is not known, as the Andalusian Regional Government's Ministry of Health and Families decided last Thursday that it would omit the information on the outbreaks and has only reported in recent days about the outbreak in El Zapillo, that as LA VOZ advanced yesterday, has claimed its first fatality.

For its part, in the rest of Andalusia it should be remembered that only Malaga's Costa del Sol is hot on the heels of the Poniente region of Almería, with 546 positives in the last 14 days and 265 in the last week. And it is that Malaga is, along with Almería, those that are going through the worst in this month of August, because in total, the province of Malaga has registered 950 positives in 14 days (Almería, 1,172) and 518 in the previous two weeks (615 in Almería).

Very far from these are the rest of the Andalusian provinces and it is Seville that follows the province of Almería and Malaga, with 419 positives in the last 14 days and just 231 in a week. Further still is Cádiz, with 359 and 237, respectively; Granada, with 290 in 14 days and 190 in seven; Córdoba, with 259 and 137; Jaén, 189 and 113, and Huelva, which remains the least affected by the coronavirus pandemic with only 72 positives in 14 days and 45 in the last week.

In this way, if the epidemiological situation of the West of Almeria is verified with the rest of the provinces, the scope of the incidence of the pandemic can be verified, since in a health district of just over 265,000 inhabitants the figures registered in other provinces have been exceeded in full, which far exceed this number of citizens, as is the case of Granada, where in all the municipalities of the province 50% of those that have been detected in the West have been detected in the last two weeks and the same as They have been detected in just seven days in a district that has Roquetas de Mar and El Ejido as the main affected, with 540 and 412 cases in total.

This is the rolling coronavirus story for Saturday 15 August 2020.

Stats for the last 24 hours - 159 cases in the province

The positives for coronavirus in Almería soar to 159 in 24 hours

The El Zapillo outbreak adds 67 positives in a day without deaths and a new patient in the ICU

One more day, the province of Almería beats its own records for daily coronavirus infections and this Saturday the number of positives detected is close to dramatic, adding 159 positives in just 24 hours, the highest number of those registered in the province during the longest four-month pandemic.

This is reflected in the daily report of the Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía, where Almería is once again the Andalusian province that reports the worst data, since only Malaga returns to approach with 139 on the last day, when in the entire Autonomous Community, 534 positives have been detected. These are followed by Seville, with 63 positives, and Cádiz, which today adds 60 more.

With this new record, the province is not able to contain the advance of the coronavirus, despite the continuous announcements by those responsible for Health that the situation is "under control", which means that Almería currently adds 2,600 positives detected by PCR and only 1,348 recovered, five more this Saturday in which the hospital load of the province remains practically the same, with one less hospitalized patient, which leaves 54 hospitalizations, of which 14 are in the ICU , one more than yesterday.

Hospital pressure

By provinces: in Almería (54 hospitalizations, of which 14 in ICU), Cádiz (18 hospitalizations, of which 5 in ICU), Córdoba (12 hospitalizations, of which 2 in ICU), Granada (14 hospitalizations, of which than 2 in ICU), Huelva (5 hospitalizations, of which 1 in ICU), Jaén (10 hospitalizations and none in ICU), Malaga (32 hospitalizations, of which 3 in ICU) and Seville (13 hospitalizations and 2 in ICU ).

Regarding the total figures of hospitalizations, Almería has had 379 admitted patients since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 59 have passed through the ICU. The death toll, meanwhile, remains at 56 after the three deaths recorded over the last week. Finally, it should be noted that the outbreak declared in the El Zapillo residence already has almost 70 cases, of which 47 are residents and 20 workers.
