Almería adds its second day without deaths from covid in March and 180 new cases

It is the third worst day of the month after 196 yesterday and 185 on day 6

The pandemic has once again appeared in the province today with two very different extremes, because if today Almería has lived its second day without deaths since January, it has also seen how the 180 new positives detected in the last 24 hours represent one of the highest figures of the month, specifically, the third.

This is how it appears this Friday in the daily update of the Covid Portal that the Ministry of Health and Families has enabled on the website of the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia, where Almería today adds 180 new positives that, it should be remembered, have only been exceeded for the 196 detected yesterday and the 185 from last Saturday, March 6.

As for the deceased, the best news that reaches the province today after the intense escalation of deaths that has led it to reach 700 since March, is that, a week later, Almería sees the death counter stopped by covid in 24 hours, a situation that did not occur since last Friday, March 5, and that had not occurred until then since last January 6, Three Kings Day.

Hospitals

With the variations of the last 24 hours, the total number of positives since March has now risen to 46,624 and deaths remain at 687. For its part, the number of patients recovered in the last 24 hours has been 225, which is 45 more than the new positives and thus lowers the number of active cases.

The hospitals of the province, Torrecárdenas, Poniente and La Inmaculada, meanwhile, have seen a total of 17 new covid patients admitted in the last 24 hours, two of them admitted to Intensive Care given their severity, which has left since March a total of 2,982 hospitalized and 461 patients who have passed through the ICU.

In the autonomous community, for its part, today's increase in positives again means that 1,000 cases are exceeded in 24 hours, since there have been 1,065, with three provinces being the most affected: Seville, 227; Málaga, 202, and Almería, with 180. For their part, the deaths this Friday have been 37, which already leaves a total of 8,873 Andalusians died from the covid.
