Spotted this on Facebook yesterday - more doses have arrived

380,000 more AstraZeneca vaccine dose delivered yesterday - that is just over 900,000 in total in 2 days as we had over 500,000 Pfizer doses delivered the day before.

I will publish the official vaccine stats again on here once these new doses are added to the totals on the relevant Spanish site (see link to it in the Coronavirus menu).

LATE UPDATE - The extra doses are now on the Spanish site. So here are the details on Wednesday evening (with data for Tuesday 2 March 2021) including some Moderna doses so more than 1 million in total

New coronavirus hit: 10 deaths in the last 24 hours

This Wednesday Almería has the lowest number of infections this year

Almería registers this Wednesday the best data of the year regarding infections, but the coronavirus deals a new blow to the province. And it is that in the last 24 hours there are ten new deaths to mourn.

The latest data update from the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA) shows that Almería adds a total of 63 positives this day, a figure far removed from the more than 1,000 cases that were reached in one day (1,023 infections on 23 from January).

This data is the lowest number of infections in a single day of those registered so far in this 2021. Until now, this position was occupied on January 2, the date on which 67 infections were reported in 24 hours.

This Tuesday, the new positives were also below a hundred, there were 90 infections detected by Active Infection Diagnostic Tests (PDIA), that is, PCR and antigen tests.

But the hardest data of the pandemic and of this third wave continues to be the number of deceased people. Almería, according to data from the IECA, adds ten new deaths of people with Covid this Wednesday.

Since the start of the health alert last March, 648 Almeria with coronavirus have lost their lives.

The daily data on the evolution of the pandemic, updated by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography, also includes 37 new admissions in Almeria hospitals, four in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Again, the best data of the day and a figure for hope is the number of people who have overcome the disease in the last 24 hours. In Almería there have been 315 and there are already 30,953 people from Almería who have overcome the disease.

The province of Almería touches the limit set by the central government to consider that a territory is at "maximum risk" and its incidence rate during the last 14 days is still not lower than these 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. This Wednesday it stands at 250.6 positives.

On the day that the so-called committee of experts, which advises the Junta de Andalucía on the pandemic, meets again, the community registers 474 new cases, a figure slightly higher than that of Tuesday. This afternoon, predictably, the president of the Junta de Andalucía will announce the relaxation of the current restrictions in the community.

Cumulative Stats from Almería 360 - El Ejido now has 426.2  cases (approximately 15 fewer than yesterday) per 100,000 inhabitants based on the 14 day average (red for increase; blue for decrease)
