Almería returns to the figures of its worst months: 152 positives in just 24 hours

Only seven patients have been recovered and there are no deaths or hospitalizations

Summer days are once again appearing in the province of Almería and not only because of the good weather this weekend, but also because in the last 24 hours 152 new positives have been reported, a figure that is reminiscent of those registered during the worst months, August and September, and that put the province on alert again.

This has been communicated by the Ministry of Health and Families in its latest daily report, in which Almería already stands with 9,345 PCR positives after 152 this Sunday, which represents the highest number of positives in 24 hours in the province since last September 10, when, according to the information available at the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography, 162 infected were diagnosed in 24 hours.

The province thus recalls with the 152 cases of today the months of August and September, in which it registered its record with 233 cases in a single day collected in the daily part of the Ministry of Health on September 1.

Despite the high number of infected, the rest of the figures that the province has registered in the last 24 hours are relatively positive, because although no patient has needed to be hospitalized as a consequence of worsening their health status due to covid-19, neither none of those admitted has been discharged, which maintains a total of 53 patients in the three hospitals in the province, 12 of them in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Likewise, the death toll remains at 128 after the two deaths reported yesterday and, for its part, there has been a variation, a slight increase of seven patients, the number of patients that has exceeded the covid. Thus, a total of 7,011 people from Almeria have managed to defeat the virus after it infected them.

As for Andalusia, today there are 2,577 newly infected among the eight provinces, as well as nine more people who died as a result of the covid. Regarding the hospital burden, the situation in Andalusia remains as follows: Cádiz (134 hospitalizations, of which 22 in ICU), Córdoba (131 hospitalizations, of which 17 in ICU), Granada (252 hospitalizations, of which 35 in ICU), Huelva (41 hospitalizations, of which 5 in ICU), Jaén (131 hospitalizations, of which 19 in ICU), Malaga (160 hospitalizations, of which 28 in ICU) and Seville (397 hospitalizations, of which 43 in ICU).
