Horse riding in Almerimar

One of our registered users, majella, added a question about horse riding recently. So I popped down to the Hipica to get a bit more information.

The hipica (horse riding centre) is located close to the nature reserve and the Altas Entinas urbanisation in Almerimar.
You can get to it by driving all the way down to Spirit Mar, turning left at the last roundabout. The centre is about 200-300 yards up on the right. Alternatively you go along Calle Alcor past La Ladera, Mirador, The Towers and Altas Entina urbanisations. The hipica is on the left just after the road bends to the right.
It is open all year round, 7 days a week. Summer opening hours are 9.00 to 13.00 and 16.00 until dark. Winter opening hours are 9.00 to 13.00 and 15.00 until around 18.00-19.00.
They can take individuals or groups of up to around 10-11 people. It costs 10 euros an hour to hire a horse.
The boss is a guy called Ramón who can be contacted on 630 90 80 87. Please note that he only speaks Spanish and the guy I spoke to today only spoke a very small amount of English.
