Great site. Every time I read it I feel connected to Almerimar.
Have you considered a forum so we can add things ourselves?
Have you considered displaying the most recent comments so people can see which articles have had comments on them?
When are you going to fix the Wedensday typo in the weather?

Thanks for the feedback.
We did have a forum but it wasn´t used much. We did consider the old trick of creating lots of imaginary users and commenting on their behalf to try to stimulate the forum. However we thought this would mislead our readers so we decided against this tactic.
This Have Your Say area is an attempt to allow people to provide input on any topic they like. If it stimulates enough response we may consider reactivating the forum.
The current version of software we use for the comments package doesn´t support the separarate display of comments. The latest version does but it is currently undergoing beta testing. We plan to upgrade at some point and add this new feature to the site.
The version of software we use for the weather display includes the typo. The next release is supposed to correct this error. So it will disapperar when we upgrade the software.

I look at you site regularly but I have just noticed this article about how Almerimar has changed.
It was a really interesting read. Thanks.

Hi
We really like your site, since we can only visit Almerimar a few times a year, it's good to stay in touch with what's happening the rest of the year.
We are coming out to Almerimar in ten days time. It will be the first time we have stayed over Easter, so can anyone advise us when the shops (especially Copo and Mercadona) will be closed? Good Friday and Easter Monday, the same as the UK?
Are there any events over Easter, religious parades or similar? Thanks in anticipation

On Tuesday I unfortunately had an accident (dog rushed after a cat & left me face down on the pavement!)
Apart from a cut chin & lots of grazing I was luckily shocked but relatively uninjured, but my glasses were broken. A lens had come out & the frames were quite badly twisted.
The following day I went to Federopticos in El Ejido to arrange for some new glasses. However the very pleasant young man took them into the back for 10 minutes & returned them completely mended. There was no charge & I have nothing but praise for the service provided.
They are situated in the Boulevard on the right hand side as you go up, just past the ironmongers & about opposite Gestotia Canton. I have had two pairs of glasses from them & have been happy with both.
Although probably not the cheapest in town everything has been exellent including the fact they will not tell you you need new ones if you don´t, which can´t be said for every one!
